European Day of National Parks

Next 24th of May celebrate with us the European Day of National Parks. This day is celebrated since 1999 and commemorates the declaration in Sweden, May 24, 1909, the first European national parks. This celebration is promoted by the EUROPARC Federation, a pan-European organization created in 1973 and brings together institutions dedicated to nature conservation and protected areas in 38 countries. 

Following we recommend to visit 5 of the 10 most visited National Parks in the world:

1) Natural Park "Kruger": it is the largest hunting reserve in South Africa and receives over a million visits a year.







2) The Great Ganyon: impressive erosion of land located in norther Arizona and produced by the Colorado river, visited by five millions of visitors a year.



3) Yosemite Valley: it is the favorite place of the four million visitors annually hosts this park in California, where climbers worldwide climbing perch Crest Half Domme (1440 meters) and Mount Captain.




4) Blue Mountains : the indigo color off eucalyptus leaves is the reason why this national park is named, located near the city of Sidney (Australia). By millions is accounted the number of visitors per year.



5) National Park of Kakadu: located to the north, is the largest natural park in Australia. It has a rich nature and spectacular scenery as well as the stunning cave paintings and traditional culture within the park.
